Faridabad to Jewar  Major Construction Milestones

1. Faridabad to Jewar Expressway Work Advancing at Multiple Points

The expressway covers approximately 24 kilometers through Faridabad and Palwal, with the remaining 7 kilometers falling within Uttar Pradesh. It starts near Sector-65 in Faridabad and passes through 19 villages before entering UP. A significant feature of this expressway is the elevated road section, stretching around 8 kilometers from Sector-65 to near Narhawali village.

This elevated stretch is strategically designed to accommodate future urban sector development, ensuring smooth connectivity without disrupting road networks. Beyond Narhawali, the construction of an embankment road (pusta road) is underway. The elevated road is being built using pre-cast girders, with casting and soil testing processes moving swiftly.

2. Interchange with Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Link Road

Near Sector-65, an interchange is being constructed to seamlessly link the Greenfield Expressway with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This interchange will feature elevated ramps, underpasses, and slip roads. Soil testing and pillar design work are ongoing, paving the way for further progress.

Construction of Six-Lane Bridge Over Yamuna River at Mohana

A key highlight of the project is the six-lane bridge under construction at Mohana village. This bridge will facilitate efficient traffic flow between Faridabad and Jewar. Concrete pillars are being erected within the Yamuna River, and the work has entered its final stages. Each pillar will support two carriageways, each accommodating three lanes.

Pre-cast girders are being transported to the site from casting yards, and installation has commenced. Alongside the main bridge, a temporary structure is in place to aid construction. According to project timelines, the bridge is expected to be completed within a year, with seamless connectivity to the expressway on both ends.

Enhanced Rural and Sectoral Connectivity

The expressway is designed with underpasses to connect rural roads and farmlands, enhancing local access. Approximately 10 underpasses have already been completed, with approach roads under construction. Small bridges are also being built over minor canals, ensuring uninterrupted travel across the expressway route.

Conclusion

With rapid progress at multiple locations, including Faridabad and Palwal, the Greenfield Expressway promises to be a game-changer for connectivity between Jewar International Airport and Faridabad. This critical project is poised to boost regional infrastructure, economic activity, and seamless travel. Stay tuned for further updates as construction heads toward completion!
