Non-Ideal Situations & Remedies:
• Entrance in South: Create a strong, welcoming reception with bright lights and clear signage. Use light-coloured flooring and vertical planters to visually direct attention inward and upward.
• Owner’s office not in Southwest: Ensure a solid supportive backdrop (wall or bookshelf) behind the main seat. Use dense textures and warm browns to create perceived authority. Position the chair so the occupant has a clear view of the entrance to feel secure.
• Reception or cash counter in heavy-shade zones: Use focused task lighting, reflective panels, and a bright reception desk to symbolically attract clients and create trust.
• Low ceiling or closed reception: Use vertical lines, light paint, tall plants, and indirect lighting to create a sense of height and open energy.
