A New Landmark for the Capital

For all the Delhiites out there, good news is coming right now. The Delhi government and the DDA sanctioned this project, which gives the city its first world-class riverfront, a revolutionary region of interest for tourists and residents. This project is inspired by the Sabarmati Riverfront of Ahmedabad.

Currently, the condition of the Yamuna River is dire due to pollution. In its passage through Delhi, the river covers a distance of 52 kilometers, and during that cycle, it receives input from 22 drains. In an effort to restore the river, calipers are being put in place to shut these drains along with a 22 km section from Wazirabad to Okhla Barrage. The new riverfront near the Millennium Depot in Sarai Kale Khan is aimed to play a crucial role in urban renewal.
