In a recent step towards infrastructural development, the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has completed the geometry of a 74.3 km greenfield link expressway which will directly connect Noida International Airport at Jewar with the Ganga Expressway. The move comes alongside major developmental works that are aimed at improving the entire western Uttar Pradesh region.

Noida Airport-Ganga Expressway Link Project

The new expressway, which is set to be 120 meters in width, will serve as a junction for Ganga and Yamuna expressways. It will start Siyana, Bulandshahr from the 44.3 km mark on the Ganga Expressway, and it will end at Sector-21 Film City on the Yamuna expressway for a total of 74.3 km.

The previous plan had the expressway intersecting Yamuna city sectors, but the new alignment does not interfere with any planned sector development. The expressway will now cover 54 villages, including 9 in Gautam Buddh Nagar and 45 in Bulandshahr, with 13 in the Khurja tehsil, while the remaining are from Bulandshahr, Siyana and Shikarpur.

Expenses Associated With Land Purchasing and Machinery

Due to the NOC, UPEIDA can now begin the project to upgrade land in the defined region. An initial estimate puts the investment required on this project close to ₹4,000 crores. UPEIDA will initiate land purchasing with the nine villages located within Gautam Buddh Nagar.

New Industrial Complex Under Construction Along The Expressway

To keep up with the construction of the new expressway, a new industrial complex will be established north and south of the road in Bulandshahr. The area will prove beneficial for Businesses and Freight Forwarders considering the Chola railway station, airport and major expressways.

A total of 13 sites have already been marked out along the corridor for the construction of new manufacturing and export facilities. This is anticipated to provide significantly positive impact on the region’s industrial economy.

Bypasses Enhancing Mobility For Primary Highways

The construction of the new expressway is designed to improve the following areas:

  • Providing Noida Airport access to the Ganga Expressway to improve travelling distance.
  • Providing direct access to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
  • Improving the distance and convenience of travelling from Agra to the Greater Noida through the Yamuna Expressway.
  • Providing Ganga Expressway direct access for travelers coming from Meerut heading to Prayagraj.

The expressway will also provide direct access to the industrial areas 28, 29, 32 and 33 of Yamuna City, thereby improving operational efficiency of cargo movement to the airport. There’s also a possibility of connecting this route to NH 34 in the future.

What Officials Are Saying

Yamuna Authority CEO Arunvir Singh remarked,

“Link expressway alignment with Ganga expressway has been finalized. This will add another critical component in the multi-modal connectivity of Noida International Airport.”

Why This Matters for Investors and Real Estate Buyers

Investment in this project would not only improve infrastructure but will also:

  • Enhance value of properties in the surrounding villages and sectors.
  • Open up industrial land.
  • Establish new areas for investment and manufacturing.
  • Aid cargo handlers, shipping firms, and logistics service providers.

Redefines previously set plans for those looking to purchase land in proximity to Noida Airport in addition to Yamuna and Ganga Expressway.

Final Thoughts

Noida Airport- Ganga Expressway Link Expressway is a Noida infrastructure project that will transform the region’s connectivity in Western UP. It boasts enormous economic, industrial, and real estate development opportunities, which makes it a project to follow closely.
