Fastag New Guidelines From 1st August

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) issued detailed guidelines regarding FASTag in June itself setting August 1 as the date for starting the KYC process by the FASTag service provider companies. But now they will have time from August 1 to October 31 to fulfill all these conditions. As per the new condition, NPCI will also determine fees related to issuing new FASTags, re-issuance of FASTags, security deposits, and minimum recharge.

Service providers have also issued separate guidelines regarding this which may cause problems for those who are purchasing new vehicles or already having an old FASTag. Also, people using it need to be careful because after August 1 rules about blacklisting of fast tag cards will come into effect too.
