Samaypur Badli-Kundli-Sonipat Metro Corridor Route Map, Stations List & Opening Date

Samaypur Badli-Kundli-Sonipat Metro

The connectivity of Delhi Metro within the NCR region is all set to strengthen further. For this, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has fast-tracked the work on three new corridors. Tenders have already been issued for constructing these corridors and a topographical survey is planned. These new corridors will facilitate connectivity between Delhi city and Noida Sector-142, Samaypur Badli to Kundli, and Kundli to Sonipat. With the completion of these corridors, Noida’s metro connectivity will be more productive, while for the first time, Sonipat will get metro services, giving great comfort to people traveling from Delhi to Sonipat.

As per the officials in charge of the metro, the topographical survey will aid in carrying out the feasibility studies and preparing detailed project reports (DPR) on the said corridors. The survey work is to be completed within 12 months after the tender award. After this, DMRC will begin the other processes that relate to construction. The proposed corridor will start from Samaypur Badli and extend to the Haryana border Kundli and then Kharkhauda Sonipat. By this corridor in place, passengers will reach direct connectivity from Gurugram to Sonipat and those coming from Sonipat will reach Delhi or Gurugram with ease.

Delhi Metro Phase-4 Expansion Work Underway on Three Corridors

At present, the Delhi Metro is constructing three corridors as part of the Phase-4 expansion. In 2019, measures to construct three corridors of around 65 kilometers long were initiated. The three corridors namely Aerocity-Tughlakabad, RK Ashram Marg-Janakpuri West, and Majlis Park-Maujpur are in the process of being built at a cost of approximately ₹24,950 crore. Progress on the RK Ashram-Janakpuri West corridor has reached near completion with plans to launch it later on this month. On the other hand, the completion date of the Aerocity-Tughlakabad and Majlis Park-Maujpur corridors is aimed at the year 2026.

Three New Corridors

A 15-kilometer-long metro corridor will run from Tughlakabad to Sector 142 Noida. This corridor will be useful for South Delhi residents and the people living around the Noida Ghaziabad and Greater Noida Expressway. Passengers will be able to come to the Tughlakabad metro station from Noida from where they can connect other parts of the capital as well as travel to IGI airport. Passengers can also reach IGI airport from the Tughlakabad Metro station using the under construction Tughlakabad Aerocity line of the DMRC Phase 4.

Delhi Metro Surrounding Districts In Haryana

Delhi has borders with four districts of Haryana namely Faridabad, Gurugram, Jhajjar, and Sonipat. All these districts except Sonipat are already covered under the Metro Network. Once services become clay in Sonipat, all districts bordering Delhi in Haryana shall have metro coverage benefitting the residents of these areas immensely.
