Now that the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway has received the long-awaiting Go-ahead from the Haryana Government, residents of Faridabad and Greater Noida have good motivation to celebrate.Furthermore, this project has received layout approval along with commencement of work in the near future. During friday’s press conderence regarding the state budget Vipil Goel, The Haryana Minister Notifyed the public this news.

Connectivity Improvement for Daily Ghaziabad-Faridabad and NoidaCommuters

Currently, the number of people commuting to and fro from Noida-Ghaziabad to Faridabad for work or other errands sits at almost 100K. Unfortunately, people are using the Kalindi Kunj route through Delhi due to lack of straightforward metro and road connectivity.Due to severe traffic, this route is bombarded with the existing Agra Canal Road which further increases ease of congestion multiplier along with the hours of the day. The new expressway will significantly smoothen travel between these cities.

Noida Authority A 20 Year Plan FNG Expressway

Noida authority first proposed this idea aimimg at improving the limit of intercity commutation over two decades ago. After Haryana’s Expressway commenced operations back in October 2022, effort was visibly being placed into completing the portion of the expressway UP had already finished, whereas action from Haryana was wholly absent until recently.

Trauma Center to Improve Healthcare Facilities

On the other hand, the Trauma center set to be built in the Smart City area of Haryana will offer 500 new beds and cost an estimated 500 crore to finance. The Smart City hospital will also continue to be available for non ESI card holders, broadening the scope of medical attendtion in the area.

Construction of new 600-meter bridge over Yamuna

Haryana and UP have agreed to construct a bridge conveniently located near Lalpur village that will span over the Yamuna river and measure 600 meters. The funds spent on this bridge will be split down the middle by both states.

FNG Expressway Proposed Routes Finalized

Lal Prakash’s FNG Expressway construction set for 2023 marks the preimum round of the contest to design public structures which means there will be prize money awarded to the best design. The last round of the competition held in 2022 yielded stunning results and were eye-pleasing to look at. Alongside the body of work generated from the 2022 competition, there has been a great deal of selection to draw from for sculpture designs and architecture. Bolstered by this overwhelming trove of prior work, there’s no doubt the outcome will be breathtaking.

Metro Expansion Projects in Development

As part of a set of measures aimed to impossible at once bolster the economy and revitalize the transport network, metro lines will be added and completed in parallel to building new roads.

Directions for the rapid metro line from Faridabad to Gurugram are already set, with a budget included. Moreover, the preliminary survey for extending the metro from Ballabhgarh to Palwal is in its final stages.

With these changes, connectivity among other metropolitan cities in NCR will improve, thus, facilitating easier travel and bringing down traffic congestion in the region.
