Wednesday morning saw a waterlogging complaint and traffic jams in Gurgaon after the prevailing rainfall gave the city a breakdown once more. Located within one of the high end neighborhoods of Gurgaon where there have been lots of unit sales of late, luxury SUVs were seen weaving around several inches of water.

A viral video captured scenes of flooding where Golf Course Road leads to The Camellias most recently being apartments that go for over ₹ 100 crore. Even though this region has many high-net-worth individuals in its vicinity, the water situation was still extraordinary even after the rain.
Anushri Pawar, once with Meta, recorded and posted the video on social media platform X to point out the infrastructure status of the roads, the conditions outside Silverglades Magnolias and Silverglades Camellias which are the high-end residential projects in the city.
“I would have loved this if I was enjoying a river view from a an apartment facing the river. Or a sea view from a sea facing apartment. What is this? River facing or sea facing?” Pawar said while making a jest of the situation. “This is the condition of the road in front of a ₹ 100 crore apartment followed by just 30 minutes rainfall, and not surprisingly high net worth individuals keep rushing towards these kinds of homes.”
What should we call this? River Facing or Sea Facing?

As expected, the video quickly went viral, horrified the audience of the sphere sudden opposite of high market in the building and low quality of the outside road.
“Some of the wealthiest people in the country reside in this area, however, even the most prestigious of gated communities cannot afford a proper drainage system in Gurgaon,” one user commented on the social media site X.
Another individual quipped, “Considering it rain floods the city and turns it into a water park every monsoon, swimming should be made a pre-requisite for any corporate job in this part of the world. Why, if you cannot swim to work, then most probably you are in the wrong place!”
Things such as this are not happening for the first time. According to records, in the preceding month, there were reports of the same region having up to waist-level water due to rain, heavy rainfall has happened.
The Camellias attracted media coverage earlier this year when there were four multi-crore apartments extending to ₹106.4 crore that were registered. IndexTap’s documentation reveals that the purchases were made by several known people, including Lenskart’s co-founder, Peyush Bansal; Rahul Dhanuka, joint managing director of Dhanuka Agritech; Ram Gopal Agarwal, group chairman and founder of Dhanuka Agritech Ltd; and Harsh Dhanuka executive director of Dhanuka Agritech Ltd.
