The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to launch the national capital’s first transit-oriented residential project near Karkardooma Metro Station, marking a major step toward sustainable urban development. The project aims to bring modern living closer to public transport systems, reducing dependence on private vehicles and promoting eco-friendly mobility across Delhi.
According to DDA officials, the upcoming housing complex will be the first of its kind in Delhi to follow the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) policy, integrating residential, commercial, and recreational spaces within walking distance of major transport hubs.

What Makes the Project Transit-Oriented
The Karkardooma TOD project is strategically designed around the Blue and Pink Lines of the Delhi Metro, ensuring seamless connectivity across the city. The design focuses on creating a walkable community where residents can live, work, and access amenities without the need for long commutes.
