For better connectivity in Delhi, neighborhood bus operations have already been set in motion. The buses will start operating on 25 routes in August under this plan. In addition to metro stations, the DMRC has put forward 152 routes for enhanced connectivity within a radius of 10-12 kilometers around them.

Managing Director of DMRC, Vikas Kumar said that last-mile connectivity is their highest priority and they are working closely with the government on it. Currently, feeder buses of the metro are being run by the Delhi government. However, over two thousand neighborhood buses will be operated in Delhi so there should be more connections with the metro system to that effect; hence 152 routes have been proposed for better connectivity with metro stations.

According to DMRC MD also for the first time, artificial intelligence (AI) was used to prepare these routes numbering twenty-five which are all located within the north-western part of the city known as the outer area or zone four where there’s less population density compared to other parts like south-east, etc., but has potential growth areas due its proximity to Haryana state border among other factors related mainly towards industrialization activities taking place hereabouts such warehousing facilities coupled alongside manufacturing units including logistics bases required to serve both domestic international markets since region acts gateway many goods entering leaving the country from/through northern states viz Punjab Himachal Pradesh Jammu Kashmir Uttarakhand Rajasthan Uttar Pradesh Bihar Jharkhand Chattisgarh Odisha, etc.. This was done as part of a pilot project involving the use AI route planning systems if successful, it could become the norm future works were executed thereafter.

Delhi city has been divided into four clusters namely East North South and Outer determined bus service network coverage within the capital also known simply as the local transport system or intra-city transportation services consisting of various modes such as cars taxis motorbikes bicycles tricycles autorickshaws tempos vans mini-buses midi-buses maxi-cabs cabs cabriolets convertibles etc.. Some areas covered under the East cluster include Kashmiri Gate Shastri Park East Vinod Nagar Mayur Vihar Phase-2 Dilshad Garden GTB Nagar Gokulpuri Laxmi Nagar Anand Vihar Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station while those situated within it North cluster are University Model Town among others
