Think of a taxi, but in the sky. This is what could soon be the reality over the Delhi-Gurugram skyline. The idea is simple – to provide people with an opportunity to travel quickly and conveniently — that’s it.
We know how terrible traffic can be around Delhi. Compounded by distance, we spend hours commuting every day. Air taxis may solve this problem for us forever and make our lives much easier as well.
InterGlobe Enterprises, owner of IndiGo, has linked up with American company Archer Aviation as they plan on launching electric air taxis in India by 2026. These planes will fly from Connaught Place to Gurugram within just 7 minutes; you can imagine how much time will be saved!
Delhi To Gurgaon Air Taxi Price
Archer Aviation intends to start off with Midnight — its electric aircraft brand — which will consist of 200 units operating between Mumbai and Bangalore through Delhi alone. One chopper can accommodate four passengers plus a pilot while taking off vertically like helicopters do before landing again at another location nearby where required or requested during flight duration itself etcetera! Approximate cost per passenger might range anywhere between INR2000-INR3000 depending upon various factors such as fuel consumption rate etcetera.
Designed six times quieter than any helicopter ever built before them these air taxis are also slated safer due mainly thanks among other things being powered by battery packs that take only half an hour each for full recharge which means no more waiting times and increased frequency all round even though exact number have not been disclosed yet so far apart from being close enough already spoken about somewhere earlier in this passage perhaps towards beginning somewhere near end if there was one considering length etcetera? CEO Adam Goldstein said “we are finalizing the certification process” which involves thorough inspections conducted under strict guidelines set forth according to not only FAA but DGCA too ensuring stringent safety measures along every step taken throughout the development phase since inception itself till date inclusive.
All these details are still being worked out such as where they will take off from and land among other things but according to Adam Goldstein there is no doubt that safety rules shall be followed strictly so rest assured there under one condition; They have been rigorously tested by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) USA already so some more checks required only for local regulation purposes which means it’s only a matter of time before this becomes reality indeed.
