
Bihar is on the verge of completing an important chapter in its history by commencing Patna Metro, the first metro rail project of the state. The new metro service will be inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister on fifteen August twenty-five, in the celebration of Independence Day.

Phase One comprises of 13 underground and 13 elevated stations. Construction has been rapid, as track laying has already been completed at six stations.
